The Library Board and Building Committee are discussing a target zone for a West Regional Library. An RFP seeking property will ideally be issued later this year.
The site should be easily visible and accessible from a major roadway and must be within the target zone.

Site selection discussion begins
The Library Board and Building Committee will meet on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 to begin discussing an ideal location for the West Regional Library. The meeting will be held in the Main Library beginning at 4 p.m. and is open to the public.
West Regional will serve the Scott, Duson, and surrounding communities.

West Regional Library status
The West Regional Library will serve Scott, Duson, and western Lafayette Parish. The Library Board will seek property in 2006 / 2007 . The current construction timeline has planning for this facility beginning around 2008/2009 and construction in 2012/2013.
